I threw on the coated (frosted) SC2S on the 12" Newport and it sounds pretty darn nice. It tuned best when the bottom medium (Ambassador?) was tuned to the same pitch. The medium clears on the 8 and 10 sounds OK, but the 14 and 16 need work. I am going to pick up the rest of the heads today and tune them up. I also put on an evans GMAD with teh heavy ring on the kick. TONS of body, but I little too much rumble. I think I am also going to try that KickPort gizmo on the coated reso head.

The kickport does not sound terrible installed in the factory head (my best guess is that the factory reso head is a coated Remo Power Stroke.)

Basically, it will make your factory head sound like a pre-muffled ported head (EMAD, EC3, Super Kick, etc).

There is a significant amount of low frequency resonance that I like however... I have been messing around with the tuning and right now and I have both heads about as loose as possible.
