When I bought my 1st gen Sonor S Class ash kit it was missing a tension rod in the bass drum, figured it wasn't that big of a deal, later replaced it with a hardware store rod with same thread, but the size is slightly off and really doesn't tension that part of the reso head the way it should. was looking on drumfactorydirect.com to look for bass drum rods, and found the size quoted from a pdf of a parts catalog for delite/ s class series as being 1/4" x 100 for the bass drum tension rods... tho i see nothing on drumfactorydirect that matches this size. I'm guessing 100 refers to the thread-count for the size? Also i found this link: http://www.thomann.de/gb/sonor_bass_dr_ ... c4d5819c5b, would this work since these are delite size? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

Sorry i just came across this. I responded to your other post with more info.

No this size does not work, it is for modern sonor kits. You will need a 14"x20(pitch) 100mm long(3.5").

Thanks for replies guys! I checked that link and there is nothing listed for S Class unfortunately. I have a hex bolt on there now I got years back from a hardware store, unfortunately never wrote down the specifics. I typed 1/4" x 20 100mm in goodle and came across a hardware website that has a large selection of bolts... part of the problem I have now is the thread only goes about 3/4 of the way up the bolt, so I can't really do much in the way of tuning in relation to the other tension rods... unfortunately the hex shaped head doesn't make it much easier to tension. they do have a fully threaded bolt on here that I could order if I can't find in the store, it also mentions coarse vs. fine thread... which would be better suited? I will continue looking to see if I can find an actual tension rod that is slotted like the ones on my kit or has a square drum key head, but my hopes aren't high, nor is my patience... here's the link to what I was looking at:

http://www.boltdepot.com/Tap_bolts_Stai ... _18-8.aspx

now that i look at it, it appears the fine thread count is not in the diamteres I would need anyway..
