And the "old fruit" goes on in his battle.
Next step, after grinding and first layer of primer is.....of course e few rounds of the same.
Layers must be as thin as possible, otherwise the sound could be change to much.
It has to look good after it's all done, but not as perfect as is usual nowadays. After all it's an old drum.


Next step, the hardware, a timeconsuming work.
Lugs are made of aluminum and are oxydated, almost black and were grinded ones with to rough grinding paper. So grind (p220 and p400) and than polish, polish and polish again. sadly enough some deeper sraches and the pitting can't be polished till it's vanished


Same procedure for the srews etc.






First step in rebuilding the snare




Next step is to rebuild the double strainer system.
Some parts are missing, so i have to make them myself.
