Hi there!

I've finally managed to take some pics of my Sonor kits. Unfortunately the quality of the pics is not that good.
I live in Germany, so there is hardly any other choice than playing Sonor drums ;-)

The pictures show:

Sonor Designer Vintage Maple kit (thin shells with reinforcement hoops) in Stain Blue.

Sizes: 22x18, 8x8, 10x9, 12x10, 14x12
Heads: BD Powerstroke 3, Toms: Ambassador clear top and bottom, SN: Ambassador coated / reso

I've made some close-up shots to show the gorgeous finish and the shell construction in detail.
The kit sounds as good as looks. Absolutely amazing projection and tone.

My second kit is a Sonor Force 3000 kit in Scandinavian Birch.

Sizes: 20x16, 8x8, 10x9, 12x10, 14x12
Heads: BD Powerstroke 3, Toms: Ambassador clear top and bottom, SN: Ambassador coated / reso
This set sounds a little brighter and has more attack than the Designers. I love them both.

I am currently using two identical sets of Sonor 3000 series hardware.

Both sets are in perfect condition without any scratches, although I bought the Force 3000 kit used, about a year ago.

I use a 14x6 Designer Ferromanganese Snare with the Designer kit and a 14x5 Jubilee Snare (Stain black) with the Force 3000 kit. I am still waiting for the badge to be engraved with my name.

I am thinking about refitting the Force set with Designer or Delite mounts to let them resonate more freely.
Thanks to Ernest L. for the interesting discussion ;-).
