Sonor is introducing a completely redesigned range of snare drums. These models replace the existing Sonor snare drum range and offer enhanced features.
The basis for the new range are the following shell materials: maple in heavy and light versions, birch, stainless ferromanganese steel, brass and cast bronze.
The selection represents Sonor's 120 years of expertise in drum making and the input of some of the world's finest drummers.
The snare drums feature a newly designed snare release and Sonor's heavy duty die-cast hoops on top and bottom, models DS1005 and DS1205 feature seamless ferromanganese steel hoops. The snare action on all drums is isolated from the shells by using the APS™ Advanced Projection System (except steel, brass and bronze shells), that is known from the exclusive Designer Series.
All drums have 20 tuning rods for precision tuning and are equipped with Tune Safe™, Sonor's patented anti-detuning device.
The 22 strand snares are handcrafted from stainless steel and provide a crisp and responsive tone.
